Episode 3 – On the Line

Meet Ahmad, Zahara and Kevin

 

Meet three artists from Hume who make art that matters. Couple – Ahmad and Zahrah, have made it their mission to search out and document falafel and hummus shops in some of the most dangerous war zones and refugee camps around the world so as to bring the every day existence of refugee’s to our doorstep. Kevin is a ‘speed rapper’ called Spitfire – an urban, cool kid who spits poetry at high speed, painting a picture of his daily life growing up in Broadmeadows.

 

Together, these three are making waves.

 

CULTURE: Lebanese, Burmese, Sri Lankan Berger/Australian.

FOOD: Hummus, Falafel, Lebanese BBQ & Veal in mushroom sauce and salad.

 

At its heart, Meet+Eat celebrates diversity. Throughout the series, we explore the charming and compelling stories of people from two of Australia’s most culturally rich and diverse regions: Hume in Victoria and South Western Sydney – where you can walk down the street and meet the world.
